I live in Key Largo and have a house in Utila, Honduras (it's like Key West in the 70's there, and yes, I do remember it). You need to go back to Utila for more research, since there is a lot more to the island that you haven't covered yet. Plus there are more islands in the Florida Keys that deserve a story... you haven't done Key Largo, Islamorada, Layton... well the list goes on and on and on! I call myself a landlocked beach bum, hailing from just over the state line- I live in Blue Springs, MO :) For now I have to settle being a Fresh Water Pirate of sorts, but thanks to this website at least I can live vicariously through another KC native. I've been to Puerto Morelos last winter, and am going to Cancun in July, I am a construction worker so I have to save to travel south but do it as much as I can.
