Key West Express Drink Contest Finalists!

The Key West Colada, Key West Castaway & Express De-Stress, if those aren’t great boat drink names then I don’t know what are.

Those are the 3 finalists for the Key West Express cocktail contest. Congrats to Jennifer, Michael, and Kevin! The winner will be receiving 2 free tickets aboard the Key West Express and travel from Fort Myers to Key West. The winner will also have their cocktail served at the Key West Express bar.

Finalists were picked by Linda from the Key West Express, a bartender, and a couple other staff members of the Key West Express.

Please vote for your favorite cocktail and let’s send one of these Castaways to Key West! Voting will end tomorrow morning at 8am. I will then tally the votes and announce the winner tomorrow morning.

1. The Key West Colada by Jennifer Kennedy

  • 2oz Malibu Rum
  • 2oz Ke Ke Beach Key Lime Cream Liquor
  • 4oz Pina Colada Mix
  • Ice

Throw it all in the blender and mix it up. Garnish w/ Key Lime Wedge and Cherry. Optional: Meyers Rum Floater

 

2. The Key West Castaway by Michael Balka

  • Equal parts Malibu rum
  • Vodka
  • Amaretto
  • Cranberry juice
  • Pineapple juice

Shake over the rocks and pour into chilled glass and imagine yourself in a tropical oasis!

 

3. The Express De-Stress by Kevin Sorrels

  • 2 oz Siesta Key Dark Rum
  • 4 oz pineapple juice
  • Juice of a half lime

Shake and strain over crushed ice. Float a splash of Grenadine. A dash of bitters and a touch of nutmeg.

Again, congrats to our 3 finalists and thank you very much to everyone who submitted a recipe. Their were so many good ones, I’ll probably be using a few of them in the up coming weeks for our weekly Boat Drinks recipe posts.

    I am going to vote for the Key West Colada by Jennifer Kennedy! And just a side note Ryan when I came up with that dirty snowball drink nobody took me to the keys!!!! LOL

    All look great to me, but my vote goes to Express De-stress! I’m beach vacation bound next week & will definitely give this one a run through my cocktail shaker :-)

    All three sound amazing – LOVE the the name Express Destress, but I really like the idae of #2 – The Key West Castaway gets my final vote.
    Think we’ll have to talk about these on the Florida Travel Cocktail!
