I have had the St. Lucia Dirty Bananas (notice the pleural) from a little bar called Spinnakers. These drinks really hit the spot after a day baking on the beach! I would strongly recommend them to anyone wanting a bit of the Island Life!

I just got back from Coconut Bay Hurricane Tomas. The dirty banana was by far the best drink followed by the “14 by 61″

When you go to Coconut Bay, look for Loan. She makes the best dirty bananas!

I have had many a Dirty Banana in Jamaica at what used to be the Grand Lido in Negril. We have tried to concoct this perfect libation with not too much luck. I think the difference is that you NEED to be in the islands to get the full effect!

My friend Jackie Michaliga Williams sent me – we often pretend on our Facebook statuses that we are on an island in villas living next door to one another. It makes Mondays much easier when we can “walk to one of our villas, put our toes in the sand and have a tropical drink”.

I have had dirty bananas at quite a few other all-inclusive resorts and they are amazing. My first one came courtesy of the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico in 2001. But more to the point, I will be heading to Coconut Bay in June and plan on trying theirs at the adult bar as well!!!
