Just got back, was at Soggy on Thursday. This is one of my favorite bars in the whole world. This was my third time. It rained most of the week and all in all I was pretty dissaponted with the trip this time because of all the rain, but we left for Soggy on a rainy morning anyway, figuring a rainy day there beats sitting at the dock in Tortola. It continued to rain as we pulled into the harbor, but the sun came out the minute we hooked up a mooring and was out the rest of the day!!!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting the Soggy Bottom Bar on a Windjammer cruise. we stayed all day even after the ship sailed around and we asked & got the owners to take us into town in their jeep to meet the ship. It's a beautiful place, you'll want to stay a long time there when you plant your toes in the sand and start having a few drinks.

Been to the Islands a few times thanks to my ex-husband. We stayed with his close friends Mike and Roberta Haver on their 72' yacht the Ayacanora. Berta makes the best painkillers and bushwackers along with serving up exceptional meals to die for! They are usually out on charter but made time on several occasions to allow us their company. They picked us up at Molly Malone's and from there we sailed and motored our way to various Islands out to Anegata and back. When anchored at Norman Island we would make our way over to Willy T's Restaurant and Bar where I collected my bottle of Rum along with several T shirts over the years. :-) The Baths are a must see and the view is breath taking from the restaurant at the top of the island. But the place I love the most was Jost Van Dyke, with Foxy's around the corner , the Soggy Dollar Bar on White Bay Beach gets my #1 vote. Nice bar, food, music, warm tropical breeze, clean white sandy beach to walk, prestine warm water and a hammock to relax in. Just add friends and what more could you need? Due to the fact my ex has closed his motorcycle shop down for about two weeks I suspect he and his girlfriend are in the islands right now with his buddy Captain Mike celebrating their 60th birthdays. I am there is spirit. Diane

Arrrrrr the BVI what a wonderful place I have to say. The SOGGY DOLLAR Bar was our favorite in the islands. We loved Jerry & Trish we ended our sail around the BVI there. we meant to see more but the beauty of waking up and looking out the port window towards the beach was one AWESOME sight!!!! I woke everyone on the boat for a swim and a "painkiller" well we made a few friends and 72 "painkillers" later we went to the pink house for margaritas and more ring toss with our new friends. good thing our dinngy captain was used to driving in those conditions.....
